My Samsung fridge isn't cooling. The red light on the mainboard is solid and the compressor is turning on. Both Sears and Samsung technicians say it's a sealed system issue that I should be covered by Samsung to repair for free, but the Samsung tech claims the mainboard is broken and he's charging me $500 to replace it. Is it possible he's just lying to charge for a repair that should be free?

I Started a pipe check with no refrigerant in the lines, would that mess up the compressor or anything? Getting a pipe check error code . Did a reset of outdoor unit. Checked pipes, found one minor kink that I rounded out. Still getting error code

For anyone else who, like me, struggled to find how to change brightness, sound, button lights, etc because of the non-intuitive user interface. I have used ACs from almost all the top brands like LG, Blue Star, Daikin, Hitachi, Voltas etc. But, this is the first time using Samsung Split AC. None of the other brands have hidden the sleep feature behind the timer. Sleep and timer are always provided independent of one another. Samsung has only made it just too confusing. Just a button labelled "Sleep" on the remote which puts the AC to sleep indefinitely would done the job. What's the need of 3 modes of sleep? Pointless AF.

tighten the corner fascia bolts to leave about 1-2mm play between fascia and ceiling (check by gently pulling up and down on the fascia corner,, else being too tight against the ceiling it will cause the plastic to "pop" periodically from thermal contraction/expansion and too much compression against ceiling and annoy some people, especially at night.. So leave that tiny buffer.
